The new group Stone is making huge moves from Country to Hot AC with their debut single “Fireball”.  In fact this week their solid numbers continue to shine the spotlight on one of the fastest rising bands in the independent Arena.  Stone came together in the summer of 2018 to form a brother/sister duo. Lead vocalists, Kymee Dawn and Kurt Stone (guitarist), have been singing and writing songs since their childhood. Playing lead guitar and singing background vocals for his father’s band, Kurt started in country music professionally at the age 14. All it took was one night on stage for him to realize this is what he was born to do. His father retired from the business in 2001, so Kurt was handed the reins to move forward with the band —the band his dad had created 20 years earlier. But all good things must end, and although Kurt did other projects, he knew he wanted to get back to making music with his family.  Enter his sister, Kymee Dawn. Kymee’s first big performance was in Arlington, Texas at the Johnny Highs music review and like her brother, once on stage, she never looked back. In 2019, Stone has a hit song blasting across the airwaves.  Backed by an energetic drummer Cody Martinez and bassist Jerome Leach, they bring a unique sound and technique straight from the world of metal music. Influenced heavily by classic to current country/rock, Stone is setting the music world on fire with the debut powerhouse single “Fireball.”
