POPPYIRIS DUO BREAKS AT COUNTRY RADIO

Meet Poppyiris who are fast becoming the hottest new duo in Country radio. Their newly released “Ain’t No Secret” is flying up the charts of our Country Top50 and the single is also a Breakout hit over at New Music Weekly and on the Independent Music Network. The new single also came in at #1 “by the vote” on WNHE Radio’s New Music Monday out of the Nashville area. Mike Lusk and Deedee O’Malley make up this unique duo. What makes this duo unique is that O’Malley resides in Los Angeles, California, home of the state flower Poppy and Lusk in Nashville, Tennessee, home of the state flower Iris.  Thus the name Poppyiris. Their music is timeless and what better a symbol of romance than two beautiful flowers. Poppyirs made their debut in 2016 at The legendary Country General Store in Los Angeles, California to a standing room only crowd and they haven’t looked back. The duo tour from Nashville to Los Angeles with the legendary Chris Nole (John Denver’s pianist for the length of his career as well as his tribute concerts) and Pete Young (drummer for Loretta Lynn and countless others) They both sing and play guitar with Mike on bass and Deedee on piano and mandolin. If you combine the list of people Mike Lusk and Deedee O’Malley have shared the stage with, it is a list of the who’s who of American Music. Their common lives had them each growing up singing background harmonies for the likes of Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes, Chris Cagel, Stephen Bishop, Glen Campbell, Keith Urban, Garth Brooks, Miranda Lambert and the list goes on and on and on. Each, in their own right, are great but together has made them a musical force to be reckoned with.  Poppyiris  is zooming up the charts and across the airwaves.
