image001Recording artist Renee Zawawi is taking a national pastime to an entirely new level. Her image001“Happy Hour” (PSP) single is breaking big from radio to the dance pools. This week it takes Top40 by storm pulling in some rather impressive “Most Added” numbers. The popular anthem also continues to climb the AC40 charts here and at FMQB, New Music Weekly and on the Independent Music Network’s Top30 where it is already closing in on Top 10 status. Renee Zawawi worked with Grammy winner Tom Weir and a group of all-star musicians to produce a commercial sound track for “Happy Hour.” Renee will tell you that “Happy Hour” is a love song that is about dating, romancing and finding the right “groom.” According to Renee, “The first thing to do to find love is to look good and eat good.” And she follows her own advice by always looking her best and eating her favorite foods which happens to be peaches, tomatoes and bananas. While writing the “Happy Hour” lyrics, Renee made several short trips to France, the city of Quebec, New York, and Los Angeles and crashed friends weddings and birthday parties. All that contributed to her hit song. “Love, dance and laughter are the universal languages that will live forever,” says Renee. She certainly has found the winning formula in “Happy Hour.”
