Great Grandaugher of the King, Tupelo Storm
Didja know that Riley Keough named her daughter after Elvis——but not in a conventional way? In fact, the name was not just a tribute to her grandfather but to her late brother, Ben Keough as well. Born in August of 2022, the beautiful baby girl was not revealed to the fans until the January funeral of Lisa Marie Presley when Riley said so passionately: “I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters.” Riley likes to keep her private life private, so it wasn’t until recently people became aware of the name,Tupelo Storm. Tupelo was for the place where Elvis was born and Storm because that was her brother Ben’s middle name. Riley admitted that the name was selected long before the critically acclaimed Elvis movie. No doubt Tupelo Storm will grow up knowing her rich musical heritage as Mom Riley was recently named the executor of Graceland, as her Mother, Lisa Marie, before had been. Tupelo Storm has a meaningful name that Elvis fans all over the world will love. Beautiful name for a beautiful one year old Great Grandaughter of the King of Rock N Roll, Elvis Presley.
I am from Tupelo and we are proud to be the birthplace of the King—Elvis Presley. And we are proud that Elvis Presley’s Great Grandaughter is named for our town. Thank you Riley, for remembering your roots. We are honored.

What a great name! I didn’t know that but I think that is such a great way to honor her heritage. And to honor her brother who she lost too soon. May Tupelo Storm have a happy, healthy, joyful life.

My parents were huge Elvis fans as were my grand parents. I grew up hearing his music and hearing the stories about him. I am a fan of Riley Keough and I think it is awesome that she named her daughter Tupelo Storm. I am sure Elvis Presley would have been extremely proud, as would Riley’s brother Ben. What a nice, heart warming story to share, NRH. Thank you.

After I saw the ELVIS movie, I wished I had lived in the Elvis Era of music. I actually got 2 puppies right after seeing the movie and I named them Memphis and Presley. I think it is cool Riley connected her daughter’s name to her Grandfather and also to her brother. Tupelo Storm, may you live your life to the fullest and always remember those who came before you.

I remember the Elvis Era and it was something else. I was in grade school, but on Halloween, my Mom dressed me up as Elvis—sprayed my hair black, gelled it up and sewed a costume for me. It is one of my favorite childhood memories because I really loved “being Elvis” for one day. His music lives on. I still spin his songs.
