GARRETT YOUNG continues to amaze the music industry with the success of his current hit single “My Friend” (West Coast Collective). The fast moving single is moving at multi-formats and has just reached Top5 (#5*) on our Country Top50 chart, is #2* at AC40 and Top10 (#8*) on our Top40 chart. It’s also closing in on the top of the charts at New Music Weekly and has reached #1 on the Independent Music Network’s Mainstream Top30 chart this week. As all the chart action and radio air play heats to the boiling point, Garrett has hit the road for his Fall Tour which begins with a return to Santa Fe for his fourth appearance in six weeks and then on to Las Cruces, El Paso and Fort Stockton, Texas. Billed as The Garrett Young Collective, his sister Callie Young, whose first single release, “Bittersweet Memories,” recently hit # 1 on The Independent Music Network’s Country Top 30, will also be performing on tour accompanied by Garrett’s band as they roll into Houston to play at Dan Electros on October 14, Antoine’s in Austin on October 18 and the Tin Panther in Ft. Worth on October 19. The tour continues to Abilene, Dallas at The Opening Bell Cafe on the 21st and then to Amarillo and Lubbock, Texas. Garrett Young will have his CD, The Garrett Young Collective, available for purchase at the venues with 20% of the profits donated to The Grief Center of Southwest Colorado. Garrett has already made a sizable donation to this charity which is near and dear to his heart. The young musician/singer/songwriter who hails from Durango, Colorado, is on a roll, scoring hit after hit and has no intention of stopping. If I was near any of these cities, I would definitely go to a Garrett Young show. I’ve been following him since I heard his first song, “Do You Hear My Cries.” Mark my words, Garrett Young is going to blow up very soon.

I love Callie Young’s “Bittersweet Memories “ since the first time I heard it on the Independent Music Network show. I thought her brother was a rocker but “My Friend” has a cool country vibe that I really like. Their tour is not coming near me but if they ever do, I’m there.

I have been spending a lot of time in Dallas recently so I may have to check out Garrett Young when he hits the Big D. Really like his music and wouldn’t mind buying a CD at his show to support his charity.

Saw Garrett Young perform at a club in LA a year or so ago, and really liked his music. Would like to see him back in LA. His music has that LA vibe that makes people stand out and become stars. Come back to LA, dude. You could take over.

Garrett Young has a good sound and I hope his tour brings him back to Cali and another appearance at the Whisky. Rock it on Sunset, dude. The Strip is waiting.

  6. Mike Behind The Mic says:

I hope everyone understands how hard it is to have a song on 3 formats at the same time. Radio is spinning the hell out of this song. Spin it baby, spin it. You are on a roll Garrett Young. Keep ‘em coming.

    • The Man in the Booth says:

We don’t agree on too much spin wise Mike, but I agree with you on this Garrett Young song. Climbing high on 3 formats? I hope Garrett realizes how awesome that is and how so many artists would be happy to climb high on 1 format and here he is burning up the charts on 3. Credit goes to him and his music, his team, and radio that spins a good song. Looking forward to what is to come with Garrett Young.
