Seems like there is quite a buzz about the new TV series MONARCH, the larger than life, Texas-sized, multi-generational musical drama about America’s leading family of country music, starring Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon (“Feud,” “Thelma & Louise”), multi-Platinum country music star and three-time Academy of Country Music (ACM) Award winner Trace Adkins (“Old Henry”) and Golden Globe nominee Anna Friel (“Pushing Daisies”) and will also include special appearances by some of the most legendary names in Country music today. So far the line up includes Grammy Award winner Shania Twain, multi-Grammy Award nominee Martina McBride, Grammy Award winners Little Big Town and Grammy Award winner Tanya Tucker. And we are not talking “make an appearance on the show,” but the artists are set to guest-star throughout the season. Plus, rumor has it many more Country artists are calling their agents to get on what some believe will be the hit of the Fall TV season. MONARCH debuts with a special two-night event, beginning Sunday, Sept. 11, immediately following the FOX NFL doubleheader (8:00-9:00 PM ET, and simultaneously to all time zones). It then makes its time period premiere Tuesday, Sept. 20 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). This must see TV for all country music fans.

I’m with you Paulie about not watching a lot of TV these days. I mean, how many cop shows can they have on every night? But MONARCH—that I will watch. Plus, Trace Adkins is my all time favorite singer.

When I was growing up, my Mom never missed an episode of “Dallas” and she use to say it was the biggest TV show ever and nothing could top it. Well, Mom is still with me and I bet she gets hooked on MONARCH and I bet it will be bigger than “Dallas.” This TV show is one I cannot wait to watch.
